My name is Penelope and I am 9 years old. I am a purebred Catahoula which is the Louisiana state dog. I was adopted as a puppy. My breed is known to be good herding dogs. I am actually deaf but have been taught some hand signals to know what my mom and dad are asking of me. I fall in love with everyone that I meet!! I may seem energetic at first but my favorite things to do are chew on toys and be a couch potato.....oh and eat!! I also like to talk to my mom and dad; especially if I feel they are late in feeding me! I'm told I am a Pittsburgh Penguins fan.
My name is Lexi and I am an 8-year old Pomeranian/Blue Heeler mix. I was adopted as a puppy and loved following my big sister! Everyone who meets me thinks I'm a mini German Shepherd or a fox! I make my family laugh by the way I "talk" to them. My favorite thing to do is to play a never ending game of fetch with either a tennis ball, sock, or a stick. I'm really good at sharing my toys with my siblings. I love to run and explore in our fenced-in backyard and am good at chasing away squirrels and birds. I root for the St. Louis Blues with my dad!
My name is Krosbee and I am the third furbaby of the family and the only cat! My name came from one of the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey players. I get along with all the dogs and even tease them into chasing me. I also like to bop them on the head sometimes. I love to lounge around wherever I can and really enjoy sitting near an open window to feel the breeze and listen to birds. I'm also really good at knocking pens off the counter to play with on the floor.
My name is Milo and at 7-years old I am the first rescue dog in the group. When my parents bought their first home they knew they wanted to give a rescue dog a good home and life so they met me at Stray Rescue of St. Louis. My parents tell me it was love at first site! I love to go on field trips, vacations, and dress up! I've taught my siblings how to steal mom and dad's socks so we can play tug of war and make everyone chase me around the dining room table. I love my family very much for giving me such a good life and would protect them from anything (even flying leaves)! My dad tells me my favorite hockey team is the St. Louis Blues.
My name is Derek and I am the baby of the family. I was first one of my mom and dad's foster babies from Stray Rescue of St. Louis but they couldn't part with me and adopted me forever. I was born on St. Patrick's Day and am 5-years old! My mom is my favorite person and I sleep right next to her in bed as well as follow her around the house. I'm very gentle with my toys and playing with kids. I am an excellent travel companion as I will just enjoy sleeping in the car. Sometimes when I'm really excited I make Chewbacca noises which always makes my parents laugh. My mom and I cheer for the Pittsburgh Penguins!
